Cheers to New Friends

I'm really starting to love entertaining. I don't mean the extravagant parties that require planners and staff and rented dishes. I just mean having someone over to my house (mess or no mess) to enjoy a tea or a meal or even just a good snack. I'm pretty new to the whole idea so when I invited someone I had never met in person to come over and have lunch, I was a little bit nervous. But I was nervous for nothing. It turns out Jessika is friendly and warm, with great stories, easy conversation and an infectious energy for the things she loves. The time flew by, lunch was over and life swooped back in. But I'm hooked and already looking forward to another get together… not that I need a reason to make and consume a blueberry pie. It's just a lot nicer to share it with someone.

Oh you are just the sweetest thing ever! Even sweeter then that pie (and thats saying something because I love pie). I loved your pie but the visit was truly wonderful and I can't wait to move here and have many more afternoons swapping stories & eating sweets. See you tomorrow at the Makers lunch! <3
